UniDit beta waitlist privacy notice
Last updated: 12 March 2026
This notice explains how UniDit uses the personal information you submit through the waitlist at unidit.app.
1. Who we are
UniDit is an early-stage student dating app project. For the current beta waitlist, the contact point is:
Email: sam@unidit.app
2. What information we collect
When you join the waitlist, we may collect:
- first name;
- university email address;
- university name;
- study level;
- course or subject;
- expected graduation year;
- any optional message you choose to provide;
- basic technical data needed to operate and secure the website, such as server logs.
3. What we use your information for
We use this information to:
- manage the UniDit beta waitlist;
- assess interest from particular universities or student groups;
- contact you about beta access, onboarding, and major project updates;
- protect the waitlist form against spam, abuse, and misuse.
4. What we do not ask for at this stage
The waitlist is designed to collect only limited information. Please do not submit sensitive personal information through the waitlist form.
5. Our legal basis
We process your waitlist details because you ask to join the waitlist and consent to being contacted about the closed beta and related updates. We may also process limited technical information where necessary to keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
6. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your information.
We may use service providers to help us operate the waitlist, such as:
- Cloudflare, for website hosting and serverless form handling;
- our email provider or email forwarding provider, so waitlist submissions can be received.
7. How long we keep it
We will keep waitlist information only for as long as it is reasonably needed to run the closed beta and contact interested users. As a starter position, we expect to review and delete stale waitlist data no later than 12 months after collection unless there is a clear reason to keep it for the beta rollout or you ask us to delete it sooner.
8. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- ask for access to your information;
- ask us to correct inaccurate information;
- ask us to delete your information;
- withdraw your consent to waitlist communications;
- complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
9. Contact
To ask a question, withdraw from the waitlist, or request deletion, contact sam@unidit.app.
This is a starter privacy notice for a dissertation-era closed beta waitlist. It should be reviewed and expanded before a wider public launch.
